The ProjeCamera Kickstarter – Just say no

Another day another allegedly high spec camera on Kickstarter. But no! This one as the blurb says is a “Never Seen Before A Camera that doubles As A Projector”. Except that’s not true and your Spidey senses should be tingling for a camera offering 48M photos and 2K video for under $140 for those not so lucky early backers.

Amkov Camera Kickstarter – Why I cancelled

I’m a bit of a fan of kickstarter and from a photo point of view have generally been happy with what I’ve received with the exception of the Robert Hamm’s disappearing Box Cameras.

But a new kickstarter digital camera caught my eye. A 4K vlogging camera to challenge the likes of the Sony ZV-1 or Lumix G100 for early bird less than a $100USD.

But just how good is this ? There is now a product preview video that answers a lot of this and led me to cancel

August KickStarter Madness – First Thoughts on RETO3D And More

This week has been like Christmas for a film shooter & Kickstarter addict like myself. Just before the weekend the Yashica MF-1 arrived and on Monday the postie left 2 new packages for me. First up the RETO3D 3D film cameras, a 21st Century take on the Nimslo. The second box was a slightly late Ars Imago Lab Box.

Yashica’s Back – And This Time It’s Analogue

Last year’s Yashica Y35 launch led to one of the biggest outpouring of anger the photography community has ever seen. Whilst the Y35 wasn’t as bad some the vitriol, it was far from perfect. So there was some surprise when rumours of a Yashica branded film. But they’ve now pushed it even further with the launch of a Kickstarter for 2 new films, an analogue camera and the promise of more.

But What’s the catch ?
