Undercooked Turkey – Retro Snap Review

The Lo-fi camera market has had a turbulent 12 months. But new camera touted a few months back to be a new entry player with retro styling and switchable filters. The Retro Snap looked like a tweaked Camp Snap – the current budget favourite of the field and there an element of shameless hommage (or is that… cough… cough copying ?). And Mines turned up just before Christmas. But just like Dodgy Uncle Jeff I kinda wish it hadn’t. At least Uncle Jeff brings what he says and he’ll answer my messages though. Same can’t be said of Retro Snap Cameras Ltd.

Is it Hip to be Square ? – Lomography Instant Square – first thoughts

I find myself weirdly reviewing genuinely brand new analogue film camera. It’s also an instant one (a first here !).  Lomography’s latest Diana series camera arrived yesterday. Whilst I haven’t been able to test it fully, I’m starting to get a feel for this Kickstarter shooter.

Battery Replacement in the Ricoh L-20/YF-20 Super Date

yup I got another of Ricoh’s YF-20 series. A full review will be coming for this later model that adds a distance focus but this one came with the Data back. Although you can see the standard manual online, I couldn’t find any info about the data back. Having almost wrecked the camera in trying to replace the battery, I click it was quite easy and hopefully this will be of help
