Halina Speedy 33 : Poundland Camera No 1

This was the first camera to arrive from my Poundland challenge. For less than a quid (99p plus P&P) this was the first of the poundland challenge camera to arrive and my first red halina. But Did I end up red faced or flushed with excitement with this 99p fixed focus number.

Halina Autoflash 35 Review : Farewell my Flimsy Friend

Olympus XA2 Review : Good yes but classic…..

I suspect this review may get me flamed, but I have to be honest whilst the XA2 is a good P&S camera IMHO it isn’t the classic it’s often described as

Halina MW 35E Review : 80’s motorised flashy fun

Haking by the 80’s had produced a series of increasing complex 35mm compacts. The MW series of camera added motorwind capability and the MW 35E is one of the best examples of these pre-autofocus Point & Shooters.  And despite some serious limitations, it can be a capable beast (during a recent holiday in Skegness it outshot a Olympus XA2 !) FED 50 Review: The shape of things that might have been

This gorgeously bonkers 35mm  compact hails from 1980’s Soviet union but looks like a mix of 60’s & 70’s with its bling gold styling and Olympus Trip-esque selenium meter array.
